If you've been outside during the day, I'm sure you've seen the masses of pigeons outside the library and in the plaza on Huguenot street. What's really disturbing is the random pigeon carcasses that line Main Street. This isn't St. Mark's square and when the city just lets vermin run rampant, it's a symptom of a deeper problem. The homeless people who feed the pigeons certainly don't help. I actually recognize the homeless members of our community who hang out on the benches on Huguenot every day. it's sad that the city seems to devote more resources to giving parking tickets than to truly helping the most needy and cleaning up our streets. Let's get it done!
