In summer, concerts and other events take over the Library Green.

Maybe we can do more. Much more.

What if we asked some stores around the area to stay open later -- the art gallery, the wine store, even the flower shop. And maybe found some street performers, an ice cream cart and another vendor or two. Maybe the Friends of the Library would bring out some used books that people could browse or buy.

The idea would be to show that what it's like when there are things to do on a summer's evening downtown.
