Songcatchers, whose motto is "Reaching for Peace Through Music", is a local nonprofit arts organization that provides high-quality, affordable arts education to all children, and especially those most in need.Through our 3 main programs -- Choral Arts Program, After-School Music Program, and Early Childhood Music Program -- we promote excellence in an atmosphere that fosters community, mutual respect, self-esteem, leadership development, and an appreciation for the arts. Leadership is inherent in all our programs, with high school and college volunteers serving as instructors, counselors, and aides.
Our After-School Music Program is celebrating 20 years of Reaching for Peace Through M.U.S.I.C (Motivation, Unity, Spirit, Inspiration, and Collaboration). In this time,  thousands of young students and high school volunteer instructors alike have benefited from receiving or teaching instrumental instruction in this program and some have gone on to study music in higher education or have made music part of their professional lives. We are in need of new quality instruments for our students, and especially new clarinets and violins. We ask for the community's help in allowing us to provide these instruments, which will greatly enhance our students' progress.
Thank you!
