The post office in downtown New Rochelle is a single-story building that takes up a lot of prime real estate. It has only the one entrance at the corner of North & Huguenot, and a long wall with no activity running all the way from North to Lecount. The design of the building does not really provide eyes on the street or much reason to walk along that sidewalk, so it makes that whole block seem desolate.

The post office should move to one of the empty storefronts across the street at New Roc City. That would be more than enough to provide for our retail postal needs without creating such a black hole in the middle of downtown.

The post office's current location would be better utilized by a nice playground or the dog-run that others have mentioned, perhaps flanked by some restaurants with outdoor seating when the weather's nice.
